St. Dominic’s Cancer Center treats tens of thousands of patients each year from almost 30 counties within the state. There is virtually no treatment nor detection procedure that is not available at the Center. From the time you enter the Gertrude Ford Atrium until you leave, you are comforted by the clean facilities and incredibly friendly staff. High-quality care and sincere compassion are the bywords of every person inside those walls.
From its twice annually cancer survivor camp, Camp Bluebird, to the very basics of premier care, you can rest assured those who come to us for cancer concerns are attended to as if they were the only person we were treating. Many patients we see lack the funds or insurances to pay for medications, treatments, or even travel to receive treatments. Our patient care fund exists to fill the void.
Camp Bluebird is also in need of annual support. Just ask anyone who has ever attended Camp Bluebird about their experience and the value of camp. The Cancer Center needs expansion primarily for additional patient treatment space. Also, there is a $5 million expansion to the Center in the planning stage and worthy of consideration.
